Christmas in..... August with LOTV... an advent calendar with a twist

Good evening, Thanks for stopping by.  I seem to have a love affair with chipboard, and am always trying out new things... this advent calendar takes the cake!  I have made this box from scratch using plain chipboard, hot glue and brown framer's tape.  Each drawer is a little fold up box .  I made four towers of six drawers, separated each of them with a triangular cone like thingy (a piece of chipboard scored into three equal sections, and stuck together with tape) and decorated to the max.  I then made the top by laying the drawer base onto chipboard, tracing around the base, adding 2cm to the front part and cutting out a topper.  I then made my flip top calendar, and acetate cone with pearl fabric paint, and a plitherer of adornments :0)
These are the things I have used to create this advent calendar:

Images I have used are from Lili of the Valley: Angelic Lute and Christmas Bears Sledge... you can get them here.
Flowers adn pearl brads are from Wild Orchid Crafts. You can get them here.
lots and lots of diamond dust!!!
lots and lots of chipboard!!
the numbers are handcut, and the wording "days until Christmas" is computer generated
I have used punches by Martha Stewart, spellbinders nestabilities (Fancy Tags Four??), cuttlebug die for the snowflakes
Hat pins I make myself
Kaisercraft sparklets in Cameo colour
Liquid pearls around the drawers
some lace from  my ever growing stash
little decorative head pins, pearls and rhinestone rondelles for the handles

Drawers are big enough to hold up to four little christmas chocolates/treats :0)

I would like to enter this in the LOTV ideas to inspire challenge : anything but a card.... I have used two (older but wonderful) images

Thankyou for taking the time to stop by, please fell free to leave some love... I try and reply to all messages and visit your blog too :0) Stay Safe XOX Tania

  3. This is truly a work of art. I can see the patience, love and care that has gone into every little detail of your amazing Advent Calendar. Stunningly beautiful. I love the soft tones you've used and the restraint you have shown in adding just the right amount of embellishments.

    Totally gorgeous and awesome.
