Hanglar StAnglar book cards

Hi there! I have been playing today, and found this awesome tutorial for this book box... I have been cutting frames out of white chipboard... until I found this tutorial.  It is done by the lovely Tina so drop over and take a look.  It is perfect to put chocolates or money, I even thought a baby box would be perfect for a pair of booties!
I have also taken the tutorial from Mariska who put up a video on Wiff of Joy blog about how to 3D paper piece... she is one talented lady let me tell you... and she paper pieces every one of her cards!!! thats dedication! My paper piecing isnt quiet to Mariska's standard, but I really enjoyed doing these pieces.... I would probably only paper piece my OTP and 3D projects not my cards, just because of the amount of time it consumes... but it sure is fun and looks great in real person.  The image I have used for both of these boxes is a Hanglar image- not ure of its name, but she is so cute!

Pics trying to show off the dimension to the coloured image

So..... the papers are paper inklings, and a random stripe piece from my off cuts.  Flowers are WOC.  The corner element is Cheery Lynn's Deco Doily corner die.

Redonkulous wedding card

 sketchnstash

Good afternoon thanks for stopping by :0) I have a couple of wedding cards to share tonight, its seems to be the season for nuptials lately.  This is Redonkulous design called wedding couple.  the sentiment is a whimsy stamp and is cut using a circle / scallop nestie.  I tried something a little different with the girl... trying a bit darker skin... it looks ok, but I will definately have to invest in appropriate copic colours thats for sure!  I hand glued each individual pearl on for the swirl, and used bead caps flor the little silver flowers- topped with a pearl. both from my stash. Lace is also from my stash that I get from Arnolds at Rothwell.

I followed the sketch over sketch and stash.  The papers I used are digi papers from Nitwits- they have some gorgeous new designs out- so pop over and have a look.  I got a new corner die from ebay by Cheery Lynn called Deco Lace Corner die- isnt it cute?! Flowers are of course WOC.

I would like to entrer in to the following challenges:
Sketch and stash: sketch by Kevin
CRAFT challenge: recipe- 1 image, 2 papers, 2 flowers and 1 sentiment
Fussy and Fancy: anything Goes

Elisabeth Bell for Belles and Whistles Sisters

Good evening, Thanks for stopping by.  I got another parcel from teh Belles and Whistles closing down sale, so sorry, but you're going to get bombarded with these gorgeous images!  This one is called Sisters.  I think I need to add some bling to the top right corner, I need to sleep on the idea LOL!! Lots of pink going on here for the Copic Oz challenge... enter now because they will donate $5 for every card entry to the McGrath foundation how generous is that!!!!! I also decided for a change to do an easel card, thinking a twist easel card would be something a little different.... that's what I love about Challenge blogs... its not the prizes so much, but they make me do something I wouldn't ordinarily do or use colours I wouldn't ordinarily use.... only to find out that I LOVE the end result and find myself using those techniques more often than not :-)

Onto the card.... Papers are from Prima pad called Rondelle (my fav!!) I have cut the image using circle spellbinder and matted that with the scalloped circle nestie.  I have used flowers from WOC.  ribbon and lace from stash.  Stitching is by hand using DMC cross stitching thread.  I have made my own hat pin (metal for CRAFT challenge) and made those cute little rhinestone/pearl sprays..... I simply cut bits of fishing line glued rhinestones/pearls on to the line (with super tacky glue) and clipped the two ends together with a silver crimp (left over from my jewellery making days..... you could also use tiger wire to the same effect).  Here is a close up picture of the sprays:

I would like to enter in to the folowing challenges:
Copic Oz: Pink
C.R.A.F.T Challenge: Use metal on your card
Anything Goes Challenge: Make your own embellishment

I've been asked to list the colours I use...so here goes...

(I use the tip to tip technique to blend colours... using the lighter colour to touch the darker colour, then colour with the lighter pen... I also dont recap while I am colouring.... I hold the group of pens I am using at the time in my left hand, colouring with my right, so the ink on the paper doesn't dry out too quickly... something Suzanne Dean taught me watching her you tube videos)

Skin: YR0000, E00, YR01 (cheeks) and R20 (blush)
Pinks: RV34 and RV81
 Blues: BG0000, BG01, BG05 and B000 (for the outside of the image-shading)
Grass: G05, G08 and G82
Bangles: Y18
Oranges: YR00, YR12 and YR15
Hair: E33, E40, E50 and E57
I also use N0 to darken my creases on the pants and tops

Thanks for stopping by, cant wait to hear what you all think about my card. Stay Safe XOX Tania

Over at the Ribbon Girls, their challenge is orange, a colur I dont often use, so it sure was a challenge... even to the point that I had to go and buy orange copics!!!, I like the end result :0). I coloured the lace with my copic marker, and the black lace edge is icut using my Martha Stewart edge punch called doily lace... I snipped each scallop and then the centre of each scallop, before twisting around my alligator tweezers.... I like the 3D effect it gives. Flowers are WOC (I coloured up white flowers yellow  and orange with glimmer mist), three pearls and three rhinestones from stash to meet the challenge over at Creative Craft Challenges who are celebrating their third birthday HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!

Southern Girls Challenge tie a ribbon- delicious doodles daisies and butterflies

Good morning! Well its challenge time again over at Southern Girls, and this fortnight is an easy one... Tie a ribbon round it! You can use ribbon, twine, binding- anything really, as long as it comes from a spool!.  This fortnight we are sponsored by Delicious Doodles, and I have chosen to use their Daisies and Butterflies image- isn't it beautiful??!! I have 3d layered the image, and learnt a really neat trick from Mariska Van Der Veer  from Sending you a Little Smile.  She has done this awesome step by step tutorial on Wiff of Joy blog and although I didn't colour the bottom parts grey, I did use the the trick of colouring the edges in black- it really makes a difference! Check out both her blog and tutorial... her cards are simply divine and so much work goes into them!. The papers are enchanting girl from paper inklings. the butterfly dies are cheery lynn. NO flowers for this card... OMG.... shock horror LOL!!

so pop on over to the Southern Girls Challenge and join in in our ribbon challenge... cant wait to see what you come up with!

Tiddly Inks you and me anniversary card

Good evening, Thanks for popping by :0).  I found this really cute image of a couple from Tiddly Inks yesterday  called you and me, and I thought it would be a great anniversary or engagement card.  Lots of shimmer and bling going on here!! The butterflies are cut using the Tim Holtz Flutterby die and I added some rhinestones and glimmer to the butterflies.  I have used flowers from WOC and the little silver twists with crystals I made myself.  Papers are from my favourite pad- Rondelle by Prima.  The ribbon and square slider are from stash.

Below is a closer pic of the bead sprays. I used jewellery wire and wrapped it around the inside of a pen.  I then glued bicone crystals to the wire using Ultra tacky glue.  Queit happy with the result- they look better in real life- being crystal they sparkle when the light hits them.

I would like to enter into the following challenges:
Divas by Design: Anything Goes
Creative Inspirations: Anything Goes
Crafts and me: Anything Goes

The inside is decorated to compliment the front.

House Mouse I give you my heart engagement card

Good afternoon.  Today I have raided my stamp draw and inked up a stamp instead of using a digi.  This is from the gorgeous House Mouse Range called "I give you my heart".  One of my Favs!  I coloured it up with copics.  I also bought some new digi papers from Nit Wits- these three are from the following sets: ValnTine too; with this ring too; and  promises too.  I have used flowers from WOC and will have to buy more of the white cosmos daisies when they are back in stock because I LOVE these flowers!!! I have scattered some pearl string through the flowers from my stash. The little sentiment is cut using the Whimsy notables 2 die.  The sketch is from creative inspirations last week (I ran out of time to enter), except I put the flowers on the other side of the image..... but all is good because this week they have an anything goes theme :0)

Saturated Canary Butterfly Baby

DONT FORGET TO ENTER MY CANDY ENDS ON 13TH OCTOBER

Good morning! Thanks for stopping by :0) This little cutie is from my spree at Saturated Canary the other day she is called butterfly baby.

This is a special image.  Krista Smith (Saturated Canary) has drawn this image to help raise awareness and money for a disease called Epidermolysis Bullosa.  You can read more about this aweful disease affecting children  Here.

The Butterfly Fund was set up to rasie awareness and financial assistance for families of children suffering from EB.  It was a disease I have not heard of before, and was so touched with the stories of some of these families and children.

I have coloured her up with my copics, and am happy to say I am slowly accumulating a better range of colours.  I have followed the sketch over at Sweet Sketch Wednesday.  The sentiment is from an Amy R set called Baby Sentiments.

The papers are from Paper Inklings, an Australian business who make lovely paper, and have just started selling to the public. These two are called "Encahanting Girl" and "Mum".  I have used moonstone brads from WOC. I have put the larger brads over diamonte ribbon sliders and they look quiet striking.

The pic below is to show the glimmer I painted on the baby's wings.  I simply dip a water brush in glimmer mist and paint it on.. that way I control exactly where the glimmer is and I dont get those annoying drops.

I would like to enter in the following challenges:

Simon Says Stamp: Glimmer and Sparkle
Crafts and Me: Add a sentiment to the front of your card
Sentimental Sunday: Anything goes (with a sentiment- of course!!)
Sparkles: away with the Fairies
Craft your passion: hip to be square

Thanks for stopping by, Stay Safe XOX Tania
PS...Did you notice I have learnt how to watermark my work- thanks to the lovelies who helped me over at Southern Girls challenge.  It is just basic, and I would love if anyone could link me to those watermarks with the butterflies etc and swiry writing... but for now, this will do for now:0)

I had a ball colouring her up with my copics :0)  The sentiment (which is SOOOO true!!) is a verses stamp called "Women are Like" (QQ0847-D).  The papers are from my Prima pad called Rondelle. I love this pad and am so glad I bought two at the time!  The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts. The hat pin is made by me, and the pearls, ribbon and lace are from my stash.  I have spritzed the flower with glimmer mist and added some stickles for extra sparkle.
