advent christmas countdown desk top calendar using my zutter

Hello thanks for dropping by. Nice easy post, just wanted to share another of my calenders- this time a countdown calendar similar to my advent calendar I did in August. See the paper on the flip cards??? I won it over at Bevs site (I felt like I won lotto!!).  The prize was donated by the super talented Mindy from Stampin Mindy.  She sells her digi paper on etsy and for my free set, I chose country Christmas... but I am going to buy more because they are so divine!  I have done some cards, but haven't taken pics of them, so will try and get them uploaded :-)

So.... I think I have sorted to storage problem.  Yes, I have deleted some duplicate pics I had in picasa, but didn't want to delete them as they would delete them from my blog.....so.... I have downloaded google drive (a link on top  of my picasa albums) I sync'd it to my other albums- gives me 5GB of free storage so we'll see how that works- will probably still have to play around a little....BUT if you have an easier way PLEASE let me know (especially for those who have had blogs for a couple of years with lots of pics)

I need your help with picasa storage

Hi There! I was hoping for some help- I am trying to upload pics to my blog, but it keeps saying I am up to my storage quota...and that I have to pay a monthly fee for extra storage from Picasa? Has anyone struck this problem, and is there a way of not paying money??? PLEASE HELP!!

Mo Manning's Fairy Kiki

Good afternoon, I have another of Mo's digi images for my card today- this little one is fairy Kiki.  Coloured with copics, and spashed with a good dose of glitter- I think it is adorable. I love this image because it works so well as a boy or girl card.  I have done a seashell theme for this card- I have recycled the shells and silver starfish from wedding table decorations- waste not want not LOL!!!.  I have used some DMC thread for the bow as it is all I have in the wass of twine :0) works well I think though.  The corner die cut is a Susanas Custom art and Card die.  Paper is from a Prima pad called Craftsman..  Some flattened silver bead caps and rhinestones finish it off.

Listed on ebay

Mo Manning Baby Fairy Flora plus tutorial on folding the card

Good morning.. sorry I have not made a post seems like forever!!! I have been shopping over at Mo's Digital Pencil and just had to buy this adorable little baby... isn't she cute?? She is called Baby Fairy Flora and you can get the digi version  here  OMG I love these images (I bought a few- so stay tuned!!).  I have done a different card, one I saw on a google search and then went and made my own dimensions.  I have used paper from Paper inklings, dies from cheery Lynn and Susanas Custom Art and Card.  I have flattened bead caps and glued dew drops onto them.
I have put this card on ebay along with some other stuff :-)

I will put directions with cutting and scoring dimensions of this card below if your interested.
I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:
Papertake Weekly: Flower Power
One Stitch at a Time: Use a Digi
Divas By Design: Anything Goes
CMC Copic Challenge Group: All about Kids

So to fold this card, you will need a piece of cardstock 15cm X 25cm.  I find cutting the card first helps.  You are going to make two cuts.  each horizontal cut is going to be 5cm apart from each other.  The first cut is going to be 5cm from the top.... start cutting 5cm in from the edge.  cut 10cm long.  The second cut is going to be 5cm below that cut, only cutting from 10cm from the edge of the card again cutting 10cm long.
You are going to score vertically.  In the top section you will score at 5cm scoring down to the start of the first cut, then score at 10cm, scoring from the top of the card and down to the start of the second cut (you will be scoring through the first cut).  Then score from the end of the first cut (this will be 15cm in- you can see why I find cutting first is easier!) down to the bottom of the card. Finally scoring from the end of the second cut down to the bottom of the card.
Use your bone folder to get crisp folds :0)
Hope this makes sense.

Til next time, Stay safe XOX Tania

delicious doodles red cardinal- southern girls xmas challenge time

Good morning! Well its a new challenge over at Southern Girls Challenge, and this fortnight we want to see Christmas projects.... easy peasy!!! Christmas will be here in no time, so why not take the opportunity to get those chrissy cards done and have the chance to win some awesome digis from Delicious Doodles- like this little cutie I have used for my card today.  She is called Red Cardinal, and colours up beautifully.

I have used a couple of different dies for this card- spellbinders ornate square die,
frostyville border die from memory box, Tim Holtz tattered florals die (for the red flower), and magnolia dookhickey christmas tree die. The holly paper is from a VERY OLD sheet- has no printing on the back so dont know the maker :0( I have used roses and hip rosebuds form WOC. I have glued three black pearls in the centre of the Tim Holtz flowers and glued some rhinestones onto bead caps that I flattened a bit.  The sparkly ribbon was from a gift years ago that I hoarded LOL!!

I would like to enter in to the following challenges:
Whimsy Inspires: Traditional christmas colouring
Papertake weekly: Anything Goes with a christmas option
Bearly Mine Challenges: Anything goes
Creative craft Challenges: Special Occassion- not birthday
Creative Inspirations: Red for remembrance day
Fussy and fancy Friday challenge: Pearls (the centre of the red flower) and flowers
One stitch at a time: Anything goes

Whimsy stamps Birdie Friend by Chrissy Book Card

The devastation that is happening over in the USA is just mind boggling.  My thoughts and prayers are with everyone suffering at the hands of Sandy.  It will be a tough long road ahead, but stick together, unite as one, and you will get through it.  I wish I was closer so I could come help clean up. Good morning! thanks for stopping by.  I am on a bit of a roll with my paper piecing  the last couple of days. I am having a stall at a local school fair, and have been trying to get as much done as I can.  Its nice to be able to offer things you cant get in the stores.  It is a shame I buy my things at retail price, as I would love to be able to sell these cheaper... as with any craft though, you dont get paid for the time and effort you put in... I do it because I love seeing people love getting my stuff and appreciate the work that goes into these pieces.

Anywho, onto my card.  Love the image??? I got it the other day from Whimsy Stamps.  She is called Birdie Friend by Chrissy. I have again used Mariskas technique of paper piecing... and boy this one took me ages... even down to the little ear is layered! But I am REALLY happy with the end result. The box is using Tinas tutorial here.

The angle shot:

OK, so, I have used paper from Prima "Romance Novel"pad and "Grandmother" from paper inklings.  I got a new die set at Arnolds Rothwell... from Heartfelt Creations called Layered elegant swirl... most of the doily is covered, but it is rather pretty in full.  The butterflies are cut with a Tim Holtz die- Flutterby.  Flowers are of course WOC. The charm is from a cheap necklace from a kids jewellery store.  Lace and oragnza ribbon from my stash.

This is a little photo pull out I made to put in the box:

I would like to enter in the following challenges:
Whimsy Inspires: all things sparkly
Wild Orchid Challenge: Bling it up
Creative Card Crew: fancy folds (hopefully the folded interior that makes the box can be counted)
