Challenge time at Southern Girls with delicious doodles

Good evening! well it sure has been hot hot hot here in Queensland, with record temps for the month of december... we have suffered 38 degree celcius heat so was a good time to be indoors crafting :-) Its challenge time again over at The Southern Girls Challenge and this fortnight we are celebrating Summer. I know most of our neighbours are coming into winter, but here in Oz and NZ we are heading for summer, and its gonna be a hot one this year!!!

Once again we have the wonderful Delicious Doodles and The Paper Shelter sponsoring us, and I have chosen Lovey Dovey Sihoulette by Delicious Doodles.  I tried something very different for me, and that was brayering!  I brayered the paper prior to printing, tried a couple of times and after a few attempts, this is the end result.  I like the summery feel this card has, and my husband actually commented how nice it was! (he usually likes them, but only after I ask his opinion- but this time, he just come out and said that he liked it :0).  I used some random flower paper from my scrap box, some organza ribbon and a couple of mulberry flowers.  I finished it off with some orange rhinestones from my stash.

so pop on over to The Southern Girls Challenge and show us your summer creations (for those in colder climates, it might make you feel warm and cozy LOL!!!!) AND WHY NOT CHECK OUT ALL OF THE WONDER CARDS BY THE DESIGN TEAM FOR INSPIRATION!
