some boys cards at last!
I always struggle with boys cards, but found this awesome sheet of robot chipboard from "My Mind's Eye" I added boggly eyes 'cause its not like you can add flowers or bows to boys cards! I'm happy with how they turned out!
wedding/engagement cards
A little twist on the dresses- a bride :0) Its something a little different that you would not find in stores. The black and white paper is unusual. It is cloth, but appears to be strengthened with some sort of glue to make it stiff like paper. I cant even remember where I got it from and its not printed with a company name or anything :0( but I think it is really cute and rather striking! XOX Tania

thinking of you ball dress
good morning! my goodness it seems like I have not put anything up here for ages! my computer blew up and I just cant figure out this new program, so I am hoping this works :0) I made this dress from my spellbinders scalloped circle die cut into a dress embossed the bottom dress with a cuttlebug folder and then added some flowers to the bottom- quiet sinple, but oh so effective! the background stamp is penny blacks "butterfly suite". I will get around to posting more of this sort of card- it seems to be a good seller! will get to it off to redcliffe showground markets this weekend so pop over if your around love to see you there :0) XOX Tania

BABY GIRL CARD + TUTORIAL ON MAKING PRAM
Goodmorning! Here is a baby girl card I have done using my spellbinders lacey circles die. I have used a sizzix embossing folder for the pink backing card and gone over the top of the embossed area with a gelly roll pen. below is the instructions on how to make the pram you can use this pram on your cards or scrapbooking page:
you will need two 6.7cm circles in two colours (I used the third smallest die from the spellbinders lacey circles) two 2cm crcles for the wheels, 2 brads or buttons for the centre wheels, wire or fashioned cardstock for the handle, ribbon for the rim of the pram you can do this bigger, bear in mind the bigger the carriage, the bigger the wheels you will need. I find the scalloped circles are easier for when you scor the top.
cut two lacey circles both the same size in contrasting colours. the white card you need to cut the top right hand corner out @ a right angle (I layed both pieces on top of eachother and peirced the centre, so they aligned exactly when put together). the pink piece you only need to make one cut from the centre to the right hand outside. The whole top half will be scored with your scor tool (I have a scorpal) you need to score from the centre to the outside using the scalloping as guides. fold each scollop up and down like a fan and glue down to the white under-card- when I glued the pink circles, I twisted it a little so the scallops set half way between the white scallops circle . I used a piece of 22gauge wire I had from my jewellery making days for the handle you could used a fashioned peice of cardstock, beaded wire or some adhesive rhinestones/pearls. the wheels are two circles pieces with moonstone brads from wild orchid crafts. Ribbon form stash.
I hope this all makes sense, please leave a message if you need anything clarified thanks for stopping by

Baby boy card
good morning, I am off to the markets soon to sell my cards, so am making up quick and easy cards. This baby card looks complicated, but its not really. I have refined my technique, which I am having uploading the picture of, so will keep trying. from the pram you basically need two circles of contrasting colours. this boys one I use my scalloped circles form spellbinders. For my girls one, I used the spellbinders lacey circles. the girl carriage is my more refined technique, so I will go through that when I upload the picture. The beautiful wheel centres are new moonstone brads from wild orchid crafts....thats the bad thing about blogging- you find all these awesome stores on other peoples' blogs and spend WAY too much money LOL!!!! alright- I will attempt to post my pink girl card when I get home from the school run. A COUPLE OF FATHERS/DAD CARDS
Good evening, Thanks for stopping by! I was at the newly opened "Bella Paperie" in Brendale QLD today and saw this gorgeous paper by "paper inklings" called simply "dad". The first card sentiment is from Hero Arts "special gifts- Father". I have used a stamp from a stampin up set to do the dot background. The green ribbon is from Craft Queen Australia. I'm not usually a green fan, but this ribbon ties in well with the touch of green in the birds on the DT paper. The inside of this card I used another stamp from hero Arts "hug for you". The front of the bottom card is a rubon from Kaisercraft "Father". the tree ....well I cut up (destroyed) a papermania stamp so I wouldn't have the snowflakes in the image....called "Winter Floral and Fauna". I love how this has worked though! The bird I cut out form the paper. The circle mount is just two spellbinders "Lacey circles" off set with each other. The inside is stamped with a 1994 sampin up stamp "thanks for all you do". A splashing of stickles and bling, and viola! fathers cards!

Penny Black Christmas Card
Good morning, another quickie today. I rummaged through my off cuts box and found these pieces of papers, so I dont know the brands/designs. The baubles were plain silver and white and are cut out from the paper which I added the purple colour to. I added clear micro beads and stickles to the snowflakes. The image is from a clear set from Penny Black called " Holly Day Christmas" and the sentiment "Hugs and Kisses" is a Stampin' Up! stamp from a 2002 set. Thanks for dropping by XOX Tania
Hero Arts Monster Fun Birthday Card
Good morning! I thought I'd share a little card I made for my nephews birthday earlier this year. I find it hard to do boys cards, so when I came across this set of Hero Arts "monster fun" stamps at a craft show I knew I had to get them. The monster in the image has two eyes stamped but I managed to find a large enough boggly eye to cover them up. the purple brads are ric rac brads purchased in my scrapooking days. A short and sweet post, thanks for stopping by XOX Tania

CHRISTMAS COUNTDOWN CALENDAR
Good morning! phew, I finally got this finished! I spent most of last evening and this morning on this gorgeous flip top christmas countdown calendar. I'm loving my zutter at the moment, and I am so pleased that I work well with a craft knife, because boy oh boy it has had a workout the last week! all of this calendar is hand cut- except for the sleigh and the tag- both cut with a spellbinders die. The tag has about four layer to stiffen it, and the sleigh I cut 6 of- two paper, 2x acetate and 2x JAC paper, then I glued an acetate base into it- for the the lollies of course LOL!!!!! Flowers are from wild orchid crafts and the ribbon is from craft queen lots of glitter and bling, snowflakes from little hand punches from the cheap shop. The gorgeous paper is from nitwits called giggles and grins too.
Now...if anyone has links to cuttlebug, sizzix, marianne creatables, or any other die manufacturing company can you please put in a request for me???? I would like a plain set of number dies that are bulky and large- say about 2.5" high but affordable too! is that too much to ask LOL???? To acheive these numbers I printed a nitwits print, then using the word art on my computer at (I think) size 36-40 I printed over that, then hand cut them with my knife........yep and I have the callouses on my fingers to prove it too LOL!!!!!
I am entering this into the following challenges:
simon says stamp challenge "sparkle and bling"
crafty creationschallenges: "create a crafty decoration"
sparkles forum challenges: "something that sparkles"
Anything goes challenge: "die cuts punches or both"
papertake weekly: "anything goes- optional to add something punched"

hat pins
Hi There again! (lots of posts from me today sorry!) thought I'd show you some of my hat pins I've been making and selling on ebay. They are very sparkley and are adorable on cards. Many may be wondering what I used to glue them...I tried the various types of bead glues and found they held them for a little while, but I couldn't be sure they would stand the test of time. Hot glue on the ends looked aweful...so I actually use hot glue, but I glue the tinest amount between the end and 2nd from the end end bead (eg for the first pin glue between the silver bead and the purple glass bead- try and put your glue as close to the glass bead as you can)....then I get my heat gun tool and heat the hot glue to remelt it, as it is melting I push the end bead up to the next bead- the hot glue goes down the centre hole- some glue may be left on the beads- I just etch that off with my blade knife.

3D bauble christmas cards
Good evening! I just want to share with you a few christmas cards I did tonight. I had another milestone today- I purchased my first digital papers from nitwits - They were really friendly guiding me on how to download and use their products....pop over and have a look - they have some really neat patterned papers etc! I have used their snow folk for my blue snowflake card above. The baubles I have used martha stewarts ornaments punch taht was lent to me by my good freind Deb.... and stuck them together as demonstrated by Jess at kinderstampo I am going to try my luck with these cuties on ebay- see how they go?? sentiments are penny black "a wonderful christmas" and from the Kaisercraft set "christmas sentiments" (I know I'm using this set to death, but I love it and the sizes of the sentiments are perfect for 10x15cm cards!) hope you like them- really quick christmas card ideas XOX Tania.

Sarah Kay birthday pop up card
baby girl card
Hi Guys! Thanks for dropping by. I have been going through some pics on my computer and have come across some cards I did quiet some time ago and thought I'd share them with you. This little one is mouse in nutboat by Tina Wenke. The edge is done with a Martha Stewart edge punch. I have cut the pop up inside by hand- you can find the tutorial here. "congratulations" is probably the hardest word to "pop up" as it is so tiny to fit across the card and there are so many curved letters...but I hope you agree, the time spent is well worth the final product! The sentiment is computer generated- I think I found the verse from a vellum sheet of baby sentiments. I will try and post more of my older cards later- its funny when you look back to see how much your cards change over time, learning new techniques...still an oldie, but a goodie :0)
Thanks for popping by XOX Tania

WEDDING CARD WIFF OF JOY
Good evening My aunty asked me to make a wedding card for a friends wedding...so here it is! I am really happy with how this card has take shape. I have taken the groom idea from Valitas Fresh folds. A freind lent me her wiff of joy bride, as I only had the swing, so we are sharing as all good cheap-skate crafters do LOL!!! I used my OLD creative memories cutters, as my set of oval spellbinders just weren't big enough. Flowers are from Wild orchid crafts. Unfortunately, my camera is not great, so the pictures just dont do the card justice, but in person I think (and yes I am bias!!) it looks fantastic. Anyway, Thanks for dropping by hope you like my card, XOX Tania
I am entering this card in the Simon Says Stamp Challenge challenging us to use a song or film title as inspiration. My song I choose (which we also danced our wedding waltz to) is by Keith Urban- Your Everything...The song "I'll stand by you" by Bonnie Tyler also rings true with this card |
DESK TOP CALENDAR- MONTH PER PAGE
Here are a couple of my pages of a different calendar I have done....this is my personal one, it is A4 size....I have sold many A5 sized calendars at markets and on ebay. I put a lot of work into these, so decided that this calendar should last longer than a year, so what I did was I made the months for years in advance and they slip into clear photo corners so I can change them annually.
Thanks for stopping by XOX Tania
DESK CALENDAR FLIP TOP
Here's the other calendar I have made- same as the previous post, just different colours. I love browns with blues and pinks they just go so well together! the sentiment is from a sweet n sassy clear stamp set "a true friend".
Thanks for stopping by XOX Tania
FLIP OVER DESK CALENDAR
Good morning a quick post before I drop the kids at school- I make these calendars from scratch using chipboard and picture tape. Each number and month flip card is covered chipboard. The numbers are hand cut and the months are computer generated. I use the largest zutter o-wire to bind them all together. the date cards are bound to a peice of chipboard, which is then adhered to the base (it sits a little higher over the base so the flips numbers fit at the back of the calendar because they are so long) I have made several calendars of this type, most I have given away or sold and I will post a couple more pics of another I still have here. For this calendar, the dot paper is the reverse side of a Bo Bunny page- "Peacock Lane Ivy". The ornate paper is by Fancy Pants- My Family by Michelle Coleman- "son". Sentiment is by PSX. I did the centre of the flower with pearls by Kaiser Craft. Ok, so I must be getting these kids to school, but be back in a little while to upload pics of the other types of things I do Thanks for stopping by XOX Tania

christmas tri fold card
Good evening! Tonight I have done another tri fold card this time for christmas. I'm using my new Marianne dies and they are devine! I found that if I run them through my machine with greaseproof paper (waxed) the cardstock popped out much easier. IThe snow is sparkly fluff, and stickles to decorate too! Ribbon is from American Crafts, papers are 3 bugs in a rug- let it snow, and Kaiser- wish upon "twinkle". the sentiment is from a kaiser craft set "christmas sentiments".
I am entering this card into The Sweet Shop's sketch and Simon Says stamp Challenge of multifold cards- pop over and have a look at everyones awesome creations
