Saturated Canary's Kisses Valentine card

Hi there! thanks for stopping by.  I am going a bit shabby chic today. I have pulled out my frantage and just went berserk! I have done another no lines technique here, but I'm not as happy with the result as my first attempt... ahh practice makes perfect!  This image is from Saturated Canary and is called Kisses.  The heart, key and corner cut is from the Spellbinders Lace Hearts set.  The little tag is from a spellbinders Decorative elements- Labels 28 set.  The DP is from Pion called Pink Baby Blanket.  Flowers are of course WOC.  The ribbon is from my stash.  I thought the hair here would be the hardest to colour, so I left it to last, but I just did random swirls and this is the result- I am quiet happy with the result :-)

Copic colours:
Apron: W 1, 5, R 00
eyes: G 09, 99 YG 03
Hair: E 53, 57, 59

Saturated Canary Queen of Hearts using No Lines Technique

Good morning! I am so excited to share this card with you today... it is a first for me and I had so much fun doing it! I was blog surfing and two blogs in particular inspired this card. I always love Alyces' work over at Kit and Clowder her colouring is superb and often uses this no lines technique.  Well after playing on the computer for over an hour, I managed to lighten the outline of four images and this one was one of them! She is, of course, a Saturated Canary image called Queen Of Hearts. At the moment, Krista is deleting some of her digis and has discounted a heap by 50% ....  go to her blog here for the link to all the images discounted plus the code you will need. So the second blog that inspired this card was Created by Silvie Z.  I am NOT even going to attempt to be as good as these two ladies- their work is amazing, but I am happy to be inspired by them and try new things!  This here is a shaped card, which I have done previously BUT I have always been limited with overhanging embellishments as I put my cards in boxes... so... I made a smaller shaped card and then was ab;e to take embellishments beyond the card.  Even my husband went wow when he saw it!

So, onto the card.   The card itself is cut with Spellbinders Grand labels Four (the smallest one in the set fits through my bigshot).  The DP is by Little Yellow Bicycle called Just Because.  The heart die cut is also a Spellbinders called Lace Hearts. The swirl die cut is by Magnolia. The image is coloured with copics using the no lines technique.  This is my first attempt, and although it is not perfect, I am stoked with the end result! I will definitely be using this technique more often! I have stamped little hearts and dots using a small Stampin Up stamp- from a set of four, but I dont know the name of the set.  The sentiment stamp is from a clear set by Heidi Grace called Quotes. I have used a variety of flowers Wild Orchid Crafts and from my LSS.  The little pearl and rhinestone button on the swirl is from ebay. The bunch of organza is actually a flower scrunched up cut out using Tim Holtz's Tattered Florals die.

I would like to enter in to the following challenges:
Wild Orchid Challenge: Use a button
Delightful Challenges: Use Patterned paper
Creative Challenges 2: New (I used a new technique)

Saturated Canary's Sweater Socks fairy

Here's another Saturated Canary image for you.... When I buy digis, I dont just buy one at a time, so unfortuately, you get hit with a load of images from the one designer in one go... hope you dont mind hehe!!  This one is called Sweater Socks Fairy and again, I have used a two tone colour for her... I think it worked out marginally better than my previous attempt!  I had SOOO much fun colouring her up, from the two toned wings to her hair.  I used paper from  Prima pad called Hello Pastel.  Flowers are Wild Orchid Crafts. The large purple one I think is a Kaiser Craft or Prima one I coloured up.  The little fairy charm is from ebay.

Copic colours I used were:
R 00, 20, 81, 83, 85
RV 198
V 01, 04, 06, 09
E 000, 00, 04, 11, 21, 43, 53, 57
BG 000 and 05 for the eyes and eye shadow

Saturated Canary image Ribbons Fairy

OMGosh! I haven't posted anything here for ages! I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and a happy new year.  2014 my where does the time fly?!~ Well I must say, with Christmas and baby I have been a bit slack with my card making efforts :-(  BUT I did do quiet well before Christmas and have some cards to share with you! I was even organised and kept note of the colours I used!!
Ok, so the first card I would like to share is using a digi image by Saturated Canary called Ribbons Fairy.  I have used really bold colours for this card and did a somewhat poor attempt at blending two different colours for the lily.  I still quiet like her, and hopefully in years to come I can look upon this card and see how far I have come with my colouring techniques!  I have used flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts and have coloured some white ones aqua-blue to suit the card.  The little resin butterfly and moonstone brads are also from WOC.  The paper is Kaiser Craft "Lavendar Haze" pad.  the swirl is a magnolia die cut.

Here are the colours I used:
E000, 00, 11, 21, 33, 34, 44, 59
R 11, 20, 81, 83
RV 13, 34, 95
BG 000, 01, 05, 75
G 09, 82
YG 03

Thanks for stopping by.  Have a safe and prosperous new year XOX Tania
