Saturated Canary Queen of Hearts using No Lines Technique

Good morning! I am so excited to share this card with you today... it is a first for me and I had so much fun doing it! I was blog surfing and two blogs in particular inspired this card. I always love Alyces' work over at Kit and Clowder her colouring is superb and often uses this no lines technique.  Well after playing on the computer for over an hour, I managed to lighten the outline of four images and this one was one of them! She is, of course, a Saturated Canary image called Queen Of Hearts. So the second blog that inspired this card was Created by Silvie Z.  I am NOT even going to attempt to be as good as these two ladies- their work is amazing, but I am happy to be inspired by them and try new things!  This here is a shaped card, which I have done previously BUT I have always been limited with overhanging embellishments as I put my cards in boxes... so... I made a smaller shaped card and then was ab;e to take embellishments beyond the card.  Even my husband went wow when he saw it!

So, onto the card.   The card itself is cut with Spellbinders Grand labels Four (the smallest one in the set fits through my bigshot).  The DP is by Little Yellow Bicycle called Just Because.  The heart die cut is also a Spellbinders called Lace Hearts. The swirl die cut is by Magnolia. The image is coloured with copics using the no lines technique.  This is my first attempt, and although it is not perfect, I am stoked with the end result! I will definitely be using this technique more often! I have stamped little hearts and dots using a small Stampin Up stamp- from a set of four, but I dont know the name of the set.  The sentiment stamp is from a clear set by Heidi Grace called Quotes. I have used a variety of flowers Wild Orchid Crafts and from my LSS.  The little pearl and rhinestone button on the swirl is from ebay. The bunch of organza is actually a flower scrunched up cut out using Tim Holtz's Tattered Florals die.

Redonkulous Wedding card

Hello again!! another beautiful wedding image by Redonkulous Designs  this one is the wedding couple.  Coloured with copics and spritzed with marshmallow glimmer mist.  I have used papers by Little Yellow Bicycle (wedding words) and Prima (paper pad called Rondelle).  I have used Cheery Lynn's Heart to Heart Doily die and Memory Box Woven Circle.  Flowers are by Petaloo.  Pearl brads are Kaiser Craft.  The sentiment inside is also from Kaiser Craft from a rub-on sheet.

Elisabeth Bell.... Sunshine and Apples

Hi again!  Well here in Brisbane, things are hotting up as we fast approach summer. I thought I would try some bright colours, something I tend to avoid with my cards, I usually go with pinks and purples. So, this card is made using another Elisabeth Bell image this one is called Sunshine and Apples.  I made this card using yellow bazzil, and one piece of DP.  It is called Watermelon Hopscotch by Little Yellow Bicycle.  It is double sided and has a perfct summer feel :0)

The butterfly punch I got from The Warehouse (cheap shop here in Brissy) the rhinestones and flower are from my stash.

good afternoon!!! well the weather here in QLD is wet and wild....flash flooding once again- to think a week ago we were dry as a chip! those poor people in Brisbane who got flooded out last year are getting hit again :0( I guess that means I am stuck here at home, child free and lots of time to craft yeehaa!!!! so, onto my creation for today....I should never have started with chipboard, because now I cant stop!!!!! this is a chipboard picture box I made....the lid holds it all together, then when it is removed it opens up. the beautiful paper is from little yellow bicycle, but I have cut off the name of it :0( The other paper is a kaisercraft page called "potion". I have added some rhinestone bling inside from kaisercraft. The white exterior is embossed with one of my new folders from couture creations called "Walrus & Carpenter". The adorable image is magnolia's "Longing Tilda". I have added white spots to her dress with my white signo pen and her hair has a little sparkle courtesy of my gelly roll pen colour clear star. coloured with prismas.
