advent christmas countdown desk top calendar using my zutter

Hello thanks for dropping by. Nice easy post, just wanted to share another of my calenders- this time a countdown calendar similar to my advent calendar I did in August. See the paper on the flip cards??? I won it over at Bevs site (I felt like I won lotto!!).  The prize was donated by the super talented Mindy from Stampin Mindy.  She sells her digi paper on etsy and for my free set, I chose country Christmas... but I am going to buy more because they are so divine!  I have done some cards, but haven't taken pics of them, so will try and get them uploaded :-)

So.... I think I have sorted to storage problem.  Yes, I have deleted some duplicate pics I had in picasa, but didn't want to delete them as they would delete them from my blog.....so.... I have downloaded google drive (a link on top  of my picasa albums) I sync'd it to my other albums- gives me 5GB of free storage so we'll see how that works- will probably still have to play around a little....BUT if you have an easier way PLEASE let me know (especially for those who have had blogs for a couple of years with lots of pics)

Thanks for stopping by, Stay safe XOX Tania

YAY I got some new pink flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts and I'm in love with the tulips! These calendars are awesome for older mums whose vision and dexterity in their fingers are poor (so say a couple of friends who I have made them for).

CHRISTMAS COUNTDOWN CALENDAR

Good morning! phew, I finally got this finished! I spent most of last evening and this morning on this gorgeous flip top christmas countdown calendar. I'm loving my zutter at the moment, and I am so pleased that I work well with a craft knife, because boy oh boy it has had a workout the last week! all of this calendar is hand cut- except for the sleigh and the tag- both cut with a spellbinders die. The tag has about four layer to stiffen it, and the sleigh I cut 6 of- two paper, 2x acetate and 2x JAC paper, then I glued an acetate base into it- for the the lollies of course LOL!!!!! Flowers are from wild orchid crafts and the ribbon is from craft queen lots of glitter and bling, snowflakes from little hand punches from the cheap shop. The gorgeous paper is from nitwits called giggles and grins too.

Now...if anyone has links to cuttlebug, sizzix, marianne creatables, or any other die manufacturing company can you please put in a request for me???? I would like a plain set of number dies that are bulky and large- say about 2.5" high but affordable too! is that too much to ask LOL???? To acheive these numbers I printed a nitwits print, then using the word art on my computer at (I think) size 36-40 I printed over that, then hand cut them with my knife........yep and I have the callouses on my fingers to prove it too LOL!!!!!
I am entering this into the following challenges:
simon says stamp challenge "sparkle and bling"
crafty creationschallenges: "create a crafty decoration"
sparkles forum challenges: "something that sparkles"
Anything goes challenge: "die cuts punches or both"
papertake weekly: "anything goes- optional to add something punched"

NOW LISTED ON EBAY

DESK TOP CALENDAR- MONTH PER PAGE

Here are a couple of my pages of a different calendar I have done....this is my personal one, it is A4 size....I have sold many A5 sized calendars at markets and on ebay.  I put a lot of work into these, so decided that this calendar should last longer than a year, so what I did was I made the months for years in advance and they slip into clear photo corners so I can change them annually.

DESK CALENDAR FLIP TOP

Here's the other calendar I have made- same as the previous post, just different colours.  I love browns with blues and pinks they just go so well together! the sentiment is from a sweet n sassy clear stamp set "a true friend".

FLIP OVER DESK CALENDAR

Good morning a quick post before I drop the kids at school- I make these calendars from scratch using chipboard and picture tape.  Each number and month flip card is covered chipboard. The numbers are hand cut and the months are computer generated.  I use the largest zutter o-wire to bind them all together.  the date cards are bound to a peice of chipboard, which is then adhered to the base (it sits a little higher over the base so the flips numbers fit at the back of the calendar because they are so long) I have made several calendars of this type, most I have given away or sold and I will post a couple more pics of another I still have here.  For this calendar, the dot paper is the reverse side of a Bo Bunny page- "Peacock Lane Ivy". The ornate paper is by Fancy Pants- My Family by Michelle Coleman- "son".  Sentiment is by PSX. I did the centre of the flower with pearls by Kaiser Craft.  Ok, so I must be getting these kids to school, but be back in a little while to upload pics of the other types of things I do Thanks for stopping by XOX Tania

desk top calendar

I'm loving the pinks and browns and how they work so well together. Papers used are from Rusty Pickle (sunday best); My Minds Eye (Lush pink houndstooth), shimmer Cream Bazzil and chocolate Bazzil. flowers are from wild orchid crafts and ribbon is from craft queen. small rhinestones are anitas larger ones are kaiser craft. sentiment is stampin up!. Stardust stickles. Months are hand written with white signo pen.
Wish me luck I'm off to the markets now...... I hope to sell lots of goodies!

These are some more of my desk top calendars I am doing for my market stall...my internet is VERY slow @ uploading photos, so I can only do a couple @ a time, so please bear with me. The pink dot paper is Kaiser craft "mango drops" and the blue flower paper is a Basic Grey Sugar Rush called "bottle caps". Image is from penny Johnson "Bird and Bear". The month cards are removable slide in behind the date.

desk calendar

Good afternoon :0) Boy have i been busy! I am having a stall at our local markets this sunday, and have been busily making things to sell. My lastest creation are desk top calendars. this here was my first attempt. I am happy with how it turned out, but as I make more I "tweek" the recipe a little :0) I made a sliding holder for the month cards- it hides at the back. For these calendars I use 1 sheet medium thick A4 chipboard (for the frame) and one sheet thin chipboard (for the date cards). two peices of aqua bazzil and two sheets of printed paper from MME - Pretty please- "Polka Dot Orange"...I used the flip side- pretty pink flowers!! flowers and crystals from my LSS and wild orchid crafts The numbers are all hand cut-- I printed them from the computer using word art onto flat white card cut them out and used them as a template. stickles of course! ribbon from craft queen and some rhinestone bling :0) Image is penny black's "Buzz in the air".
