No spooled items for the Southern Girls Challenge... a Christmas card

Good morning! well its challenge time over at the Southern Girls Challenge and this fortnight, the challenge is to not use and spooled items (thats ribbons, twine or cotton) on your projects.  WOW that's a hard ask for me, as I love big bows and gorgeous ribbons .... but I have come up with this Christmas card I hope you like :-).  We have fabulous sponsors this fortnight and I have showcased dies from Marianne design.  I am in envy of the winner of that prize, as I those gorgeous snowflakes would've been perfect for this card LOL!!!!!  Anyway, enough of me sobbing, I have used the following Marianne Design dies:
LR0184 (baubles)
 LR0178 (sleigh)
and LR0176 (trees)

I dont have the reindeer that matches the sleigh, so have used a Sizzix one, but there is definitely a Marianne Design Reindeer die!
I also used the snowflake punch outs from a Martha Stewart edger.

It's a shaker box card, and I have stuck thick card from officeworks between two pieces of acetate so the beads, glitter and silver snowflakes don't get caught among the die cuts.  The silver snowflakes are just tiny bead spacers that people use for jewellery... quite cheap, but effective all the same!  The backing DP is a digi paper from Pink Gem designs.  I have cut three baubles, two the right side of glitter paper (which will get folded in half with the glitter side in the centre), one with the glitter paper flipped over to the wrong side.  Take the two baubles folded in half and place them side by side, and then stick the third bauble over them... the baubles will align perfectly!  then you have a three dimensional bauble :-)  For the third bauble (the one on the top) you can back this prior to cutting with some JAC paper or run it through a sticker maker so it sticks down without the mess of glue.

so pop on over to the Southern Girls Challenge, and show us your creations!

Ratatouille by Saturated Canary

Hello, well last one for me tonight :-) Three in one night woohoo!!!! This image is Ratatouille by Saturated Canary. I have again used those reds, blues and yellows for this card.  Using paper from a Bo Bunny "serenity" pad.  I tried building on my confidence using red and have done a bigger area for this image.  I also used the E's in the copic range for my skin colouring rather than my usual YR's.  I am really happy with this card!  I haven't used and dies, I edged the image mat with a martha stewart edge punch called Doily Lace.  I have pleated the ribbon each side of the image and added loads of flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts. I added some red stamens and I used some adhesive rhinestones for added bling.

Copic colours I used were:
N 0, 1, 4
BG 0000, 01, 05
Y 11, 13, 18
R 20, 27, 39, 81, 85
E 000, 00, 13, 18, 19, 42, 50, 59

Elisabeth Bell Happy Mail

Last card for the night, as I am off to bed :-)  From the divine Elisabeth Bell "Happy mail".  I LOVE this image. Unfortunately, this is a Belles and Whistles stamp which has now closed store, so I am not sure if this stamp is still available under another company.  The DP is from Prima's Sunkiss collection.  I have edged the chequered paper with a Martha Stewart edging punch.  I have used spellbinders lacey circles and large circle for the image.  Flowers are WOC.  I have used some Divine twine and lace from my stash.  I found a silver key charm and bicone crystals, which I have dangled from some chain.  I also glued some crystals to some tiger wire and scattered them among the flowers.  I added some flower soft to the flowers as well as dimensional magic and stickles.

Copic colours used:
Y 00, 11, 13, 18
R 81, 85
RV 25
BG 0000, 01, 05, 11, 13
G 00, 82, 99
BV 0000, 00, 04
N 0, 1, 4

Magnolia Secretive Tilda and some exciting news

Good morning! WOW it has been forever since I've posted here! I have been super busy the last couple of months, but the best achievement I have made is falling pregnant with my third baby (second pregnancy)!!! We are so super excited and so are the kids.... due on the 1st of September, I am 14 weeks pregnant :-)

I have been working on a couple of cards... this one is a pull out step card using a magnolia image called Secretive Tilda.  I like this design of card because you only use the one design paper.  I have used sheets from a Bo Bunning pad called Prairie Chic Collection. The flowers and chandeliers are WOC, the dragonfly is cut using a Cheery Lynn die.  The little butterflies are the punch outs from my Martha Stewart pop up butterfly edger.  The friendship stamp is from whimsy cut with the coordinating die.  the little banners are from a sheet of die cuts (sorry, not sure of brand).  I have tied off the banner with some divine twine

Hope you like it :-) Check out Southern Girls Challenge this week, they are asking to see banners or pennants on your creations.  Hope I have inspired some creativity in you. Stay safe XOX Tania

I would like to enter in to the following challenges:
Wild Orchid Challenge: use daisies (I have used cosmos daisies)

Saturated Canary Princess Zella

Hello. Thanks for stopping by. I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and a safe and Happy New Year. I must apologise for not posting much lately, with Xmas and work, school holidays, time just gets away! And then Mozilla decided to play up so I had to download Google chrome so I could sign in! but I have managed a couple of cards today. I  went shopping at Saturated canary a couple of weeks ago, but have only just managed to colour up some of the lovelies today.  I hope to get them all coloured and up on my blog over the next week before I head back to work boohoo :-(
To start with, I have coloured the lovely Princess Zella with my copics.  I went for blues and aquas this time and had the perfect co-ordinating paper for both the colours and the image.  The DP is from "My Memories" and only have numbers- 154987 and 154982.  the first one has rain drops, which went perfectly with the drop of paint from Zellas paintbrush :-)

I FINALLY recieved my magnolia swirl die after ordering it in November (9 weeks- record!!) so I have used it here and a Cheery Lynn butterfly die, the small butterflies are the off cuts from a Martha Stewart pop up butterfly edger.  I have used Divine Twine (new to my stash!) and I made the dangle charm. Flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts. Plus the usual splish splash of stickles, dimensional magic and rhinestones :-)

I would like to enter in the following challenges:
Wild Orchid Challenge: anything goes
Simon Says Stamp Challenge: something new (new image, magnolia die, and twine)

These are the colours I have used:

Elisabeth Bell Lilypad Dreams

Hello!! another card for tonight.. I'm on a roll... and there are some challenges that will finish during the night here in Oz.  So thought I should get my skates on!!! This little cutie is from Belles and Whistles, whose store unfortunately is closing down but now have 50% off the remaining stamps.. so check it out!! This little one is called lilypad dreams and is still available! she is simply adorable!  I have cased a sketch by Patricia over at Creative Inspirations.  Papers I have used are: Hippity Hoppity (Easter things) and  Baby Mine (sugar and spice) by We are Memory Keepers and Lemon Breeze (vanilla sunshine collection) by Sei paper. Over at the Ribbon Girls, their challenge is orange, a colur I dont often use, so it sure was a challenge... even to the point that I had to go and buy orange copics!!!, I like the end result :0). I coloured the lace with my copic marker, and the black lace edge is icut using my Martha Stewart edge punch called doily lace... I snipped each scallop and then the centre of each scallop, before twisting around my alligator tweezers.... I like the 3D effect it gives. Flowers are WOC (I coloured up white flowers yellow  and orange with glimmer mist), three pearls and three rhinestones from stash to meet the challenge over at Creative Craft Challenges who are celebrating their third birthday HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!

I would like to enter in to the following challenges:
Creative Craft Challenges: 3 (3 pearls and 3 rhinestones)
Creative Inspirations: I have Cased Patricias layout
Crafts and Me: Pearls and Lace

Penny Black Christmas Usher

Good evening! Thought I would make a start on chrissy cards, and I had this penny Black image coloured up a long time ago (pre-copics!!! coloured with my prisma colour pencils).  The papers are from a simple stories pad called Handmade Holiday.  The tree is cut from a magnolia die and the bauble is cut from a Martha Stewart punch (cut three baubles and one piece of JAC paper... fold the coloured baubles in half and stick two to the JAC paper, then the third gets stuck in the centre of the two others)  I have decorated the tree with some sparkle fibres. The image is  cut out with a spellbinders nestie Labels ten.

you can see from the pic below that I have layered the skirt part- stamp three images, cut the skirt out on two of them, colour up and use some paper toll adhesive to add the dimension.  I have then added some micro beads to the edge of the skirt.

I would like to enter this in the following challenges:
Creative Inspriations: Christmas in September
Just keep on creating: Christmas is just around the corner
