Tiddly Inks You and Me Wedding Card

Good afternoon. My best friend asked me to do a special wedding card for her brother who was married in January.  She wanted a card that was not too girly, no flowers, and girl in colour.  Her words were make it simple, but elegant.  The brides favourite colour is green and my friend wanted that incorporated.  She did not not a big wedding dress image or anything over the top.  My creativity and brain was pushed to the limits! This is what I came up with.  It is a Tiddly Inks digital image called You and Me.  I have used the Lili of the Valley round stamp from the Happy Circular Sentiments set. Corner die is by Cheery Lynn called Deco Lace Corner. Swirl is magnolia die. Top Tip: make your own butterflies by cutting four corner dies ( I used Spellbinders Lace Hearts set (awesome set- comes with the hearts, a key and a corner die) and gluing them together at the corner part.  The little wings are also from a spellbinders set called Mixd Media Elements (get them here from Simon Says Stamp).  The lace, ribbon, diamonte slider and rhinestones all from my stash.  The adhesive heart bling I got from Arnolds.. my LSS. the paper is glitter paper from Best creation.  I have distressed the edges with a Tim Holtz Distresser.

I would like to enter in to the following challenges:
Make it Monday: Anything goes
Creative Knockouts: Tic Tac Toe (distressing, sentiment, ribbon)

Copic Colours used:
Skin: YR 0000, E30, 31, 33

Hi there thanks for dropping by.  Long time since I have posted a card... I have been making loads, I promise..  I just haven't had time to upload them :-(   I have made a few christmas cards for a lady at the craft market I go to, so be warned... over the next couple of days, you are going to be inundated with all things Christmas!!!

Its been a long time since I have pulled out my LOTV stamps, so I thought I would ink this cutie up.  Her name is Little Trumpet, and I have done a swing style card.  This style card is super easy to make but is really effective!

I have used Making Memories paper called Je tÁdore... not really a christmas paper, but the music notes fitted well with the trumpeting!  Flowers are of course Wild Orchid Crafts and made the little angel charm myself.  The die is labels one by spellbinders.

Copic colours used:

Hello! Thanks for stopping by.  Here's another card I made before I went on holidays, hopefully in preparation for a couple of stalls I will be selected for.  This time I have an old favourite Tulip Jungle by Penny Black.  I love Penny Black stamps and have about four draw full of wooden, plus about a dozen of her clear sets... she is a favourite and her images are gorgeous.  I used my circular sentiments from Lili of the Valley, again cut with my lacey circles die from spellbinders.  I have used a swirl die by magnolia and have used chandeliers and flowers from WOC.  The DP is by Bo Bunny from the Prairie Chic collection pad.  I added some dimensional magic to the flowers and stickles to the leaves which you cant really see in the pics, but it makes them pop!

Saturated Canary Roses are red, Violets are Blue

Good morning. Here's one I did yesterday.  I coloured up my new Saturated Canary digi called "roses are red violets are blue".  I followed the sketch from Sketch and stash, only rotated it, BUT by rotating it to suit my image, I didnt have a vertical sentiment, so used a round one from LOTV.  I hope this still meets criteria. I have added loads of flowers from WOC.  and into the flowers I added some white glitter twirly things from the local $2 shop.  I made the charm quiet a while ago from pearls, rhinestone spacers, and a crystal bead I had from my jewellery making days.  The 2 design papers are from an Authentique pad called Fresh.  The dragon fly die cut is Cheery Lynn.  The craft card and ribbon from stash.

I would like to enter in to the following challenges:
Saturated Canary- Read all about it (I have used a sentiment/text)

Hanglar StAnglar book cards

Hi there! I have been playing today, and found this awesome tutorial for this book box... I have been cutting frames out of white chipboard... until I found this tutorial.  It is done by the lovely Tina so drop over and take a look.  It is perfect to put chocolates or money, I even thought a baby box would be perfect for a pair of booties!
I have also taken the tutorial from Mariska who put up a video on Wiff of Joy blog about how to 3D paper piece... she is one talented lady let me tell you... and she paper pieces every one of her cards!!! thats dedication! My paper piecing isnt quiet to Mariska's standard, but I really enjoyed doing these pieces.... I would probably only paper piece my OTP and 3D projects not my cards, just because of the amount of time it consumes... but it sure is fun and looks great in real person.  The image I have used for both of these boxes is a Hanglar image- not ure of its name, but she is so cute!

Pics trying to show off the dimension to the coloured image

So..... the papers are paper inklings, and a random stripe piece from my off cuts.  Flowers are WOC.  The corner element is Cheery Lynn's Deco Doily corner die.

Southern Girls Challenge tie a ribbon- delicious doodles daisies and butterflies

Good morning! Well its challenge time again over at Southern Girls, and this fortnight is an easy one... Tie a ribbon round it! You can use ribbon, twine, binding- anything really, as long as it comes from a spool!.  This fortnight we are sponsored by Delicious Doodles, and I have chosen to use their Daisies and Butterflies image- isn't it beautiful??!! I have 3d layered the image, and learnt a really neat trick from Mariska Van Der Veer  from Sending you a Little Smile.  She has done this awesome step by step tutorial on Wiff of Joy blog and although I didn't colour the bottom parts grey, I did use the the trick of colouring the edges in black- it really makes a difference! Check out both her blog and tutorial... her cards are simply divine and so much work goes into them!. The papers are enchanting girl from paper inklings. the butterfly dies are cheery lynn. NO flowers for this card... OMG.... shock horror LOL!!

so pop on over to the Southern Girls Challenge and join in in our ribbon challenge... cant wait to see what you come up with!

Christmas in..... August with LOTV... an advent calendar with a twist

Good evening, Thanks for stopping by.  I seem to have a love affair with chipboard, and am always trying out new things... this advent calendar takes the cake!  I have made this box from scratch using plain chipboard, hot glue and brown framer's tape.  Each drawer is a little fold up box .  I made four towers of six drawers, separated each of them with a triangular cone like thingy (a piece of chipboard scored into three equal sections, and stuck together with tape) and decorated to the max.  I then made the top by laying the drawer base onto chipboard, tracing around the base, adding 2cm to the front part and cutting out a topper.  I then made my flip top calendar, and acetate cone with pearl fabric paint, and a plitherer of adornments :0)
These are the things I have used to create this advent calendar:

Images I have used are from Lili of the Valley: Angelic Lute and Christmas Bears Sledge... you can get them here.
Flowers adn pearl brads are from Wild Orchid Crafts. You can get them here.
lots and lots of diamond dust!!!
lots and lots of chipboard!!
the numbers are handcut, and the wording "days until Christmas" is computer generated
I have used punches by Martha Stewart, spellbinders nestabilities (Fancy Tags Four??), cuttlebug die for the snowflakes
Hat pins I make myself
Kaisercraft sparklets in Cameo colour
Liquid pearls around the drawers
some lace from  my ever growing stash
little decorative head pins, pearls and rhinestone rondelles for the handles

Drawers are big enough to hold up to four little christmas chocolates/treats :0)

I would like to enter this in the LOTV ideas to inspire challenge : anything but a card.... I have used two (older but wonderful) images

Thankyou for taking the time to stop by, please fell free to leave some love... I try and reply to all messages and visit your blog too :0) Stay Safe XOX Tania

LOTV Blowing bubbles

Good afternoon! Well I finally got my new LOTV stamps yesterday, and boy they were just the pick me up that I needed! Firstly, my husband spent a night in hospital with a suspected heart attack (he is only 33!!), after blood tests, breathing tests (to see if he had a clot on his lung) and a stress test, his heart pain was put down to stress! WHOA what a sigh of relief! I coloured this gorgeous elephant "blowing bubbles" from LOTV while I myself was in hospital yesterday having infliximab for my Crohn's Disease.  She has coloured up just beautiful.  Then today I recieved my order from Wild Orchid Crafts because I needed more flowers LOL!!!! aren't they just delish????
The papers are: making memories "Pink Dots Je t'Adore" and : Heart Doilies Je t'Adore"; and my minds eye "Lush pink houndstooth"; brown bazzil, and the lacey ribbon I bought from my LSS @ strathpine

this card I am going to enter into the Simon Says Challenge- they are looking for birthday cards.  I am also entering the sketch challenge from Lili of The Valley.over at creative craft challenge, they have a challenge to use lace, so I am entering this card there too :0)....I do hope you and the challenges I have entered like my bubble blowing elephant as much as I do :0)
