Delicious Doodles @ Southern Girls Challenge

Good Morning! thanks for stopping by.  Its challenge time over at Southern Girls, and this fortnight, we're asking you to show us your bling bling!!! easy right??!! Our sponsors are Pink Gem Designs and Delicious Doodles. I have chosen this wonder digi by Delicious Doodles called Mother's Love.  I have coloured her with copics using yellows so it suits both girl or boy. I cut her out using spellbinders labels 10.  The paper is from a beautiful prima pad called Fairy Belle. I have used flowers from WOC, charm from ebay, ribbon from stash.

See the rhinestone swirls??? I drool over these when I see them in the shops, but then see the price and have a coronary LOL! soooo.... I bought ONE pack and when I finished using it, I punched out the holes where each diamonte was stuck on the acetate (you can see where the pearls etc are as there is a circle indent on the acetate- I use a hammer and the punch part of an OLD eyelet setter).  Then when I want to add a swirl I use the acetate as a template, marking each hole with a small dot from a lead pencil .... I can custom make my swirls to fit the area then :0)

The sentiments are from a CC Design set by Amy R I got off ebay called Baby Sentiments and is cut using spellbinders fancy tags dies.

No Prize :0(

I was just looking back on my old posts and came across a facebook challenge I entered and won. I "won" this prize as a facebook competition way back in February.  and I was so excited.  I placed an order that same day, specifically not ordering red flowers as I'd hoped I would receive my prize.  My order came, but not my prize. Unfortunately, after many emails with no response, I am still yet to recieve my prize.  It saddens me as I spend so much money at Wild Orchid Crafts and their customer service for paying customers is best- next to none. I dont like to complain, as it is, after al,l something free, but I wonder if anyone else has had such an experience with other challenges??? I figure, if you cant come good on the prize, dont offer a competition... am I being too hard???

Krista Smith Pricillapie friendship card

Good morning thanks for stopping by!  Well, the school fete is finally here .... Saturday is the BIG day... I have been busy making cards as I am having a little stall there... so I have three days to get as much done as I can!   I have made a card using Krista Smith's beautiful Pricillapie.  I have coloured her with copics.  I followed a sketch from Crafting Life's Pieces.
I have used papers from my Prima pad called Rondelle... I'm sooo glad I bought two at the time because I LOVE this pad!!  Flowers are from Wild orchid Crafts. I have glued some dew drops around from my stash.  Hat pin I made myself.  Sentiment  outside was a freebie on a magazine here in Oz, and the inside is a Whimsy notables 4 sentiments.

Redonkulous bride wedding card

Good morning, Today I have a wedding card made from a digi image by Redonkulous Designs called wedding bliss.  I have not used any DP for this card, rather I have embossed white card using a couture embossing folder called Walrus and Carpenter.  I got it a couple of years ago and dont remember where I got it from, but what I love about these folders is that ther are a little bigger than cuttlebug and sizzix embosing folders.  BUT I woud love for a company to make embossing folders 14.5-15cm wide (the width of the bigsot clear pads) so you can emboss the whole base of a square card.... now wouldn't that be nice??  Flowers are WOC, the tag is from a Whimsy Notables 2 die as is the stamped frame... "congratulations" is from a clear sentiments set by Inkadinkado called Greetings.  The swirl is a My Favourite things die.

The inside sentiment is from a stampin up stamp- not sure of which set. cut using spellbinders labels 10.

Elisabeth Bell "wishes" birthday card

Hello! Another of my new Elisabeth Bell images called Wishes.  I have coloured her up with copics.  The banners are from Whimsy Stamps called celebration circle pennants.  You can buy the dies to cut them out and layer them with frilly bases, but my bank account was looking a bit drab LOL! SO.. I used my spellbinder circle cutter and the smallest of the spellbinder lacey circles for the base.... works for me :0)  my ribbon is from my stash, as is the ribbon slider (I got these in a big lot and sell them at the markets (when I go) for 75c each- I also have the circle diamonte sliders too).  I am trying to get enough stuff collected to open an internet store and try and sell things as cheap as I can :0)  The moonstone brads are WOC I got last year (I bought something like ten jars in one hit to save on postage... but am working my way through them).  The flowers are also WOC, but I didnt have purple ones, so I spritzed my beige ones with glimmer mist, dabbing a darker purple on the edges.

HINT.... I tend to buy white or cream flowers so I can colour match them to my theme and it limits the amount of space I need with different colours of flowers. I do whole colours by misting them with glimmer mist, but if you just want to highlight the edges of your flowers, spritz with a clear glimmer mist like marshmallow or pearl.... then rather than misting the darker colour, remove the lid and using the straw (that connects to the lid part), dab ever so lightly onto the edges of your flowers... by moistening the flowers with the clear mist first, that allows the darker colour to kind of wick up the flower petal adding a realistic touch :0)

The papers are from my scrap box and are both Magnolia.

I would like to enter in the following challenges:
Delicious Doodles: celebration (Birthday)
Dream Valley Challenge: Something Old (flowers, ribbon, paper) Something New (image & banner stamps)
Fairy-tale Challenge: Metal (ribbon slider)

Elisabeth Bell.... Sunshine and Apples

Hi again!  Well here in Brisbane, things are hotting up as we fast approach summer. I thought I would try some bright colours, something I tend to avoid with my cards, I usually go with pinks and purples. So, this card is made using another Elisabeth Bell image this one is called Sunshine and Apples.  I made this card using yellow bazzil, and one piece of DP.  It is called Watermelon Hopscotch by Little Yellow Bicycle.  It is double sided and has a perfct summer feel :0)

The butterfly punch I got from The Warehouse (cheap shop here in Brissy) the rhinestones and flower are from my stash.

Elisabeth Bell Pretty in patches

WOW... I'm on fire today LOL!! (Truth be known- I have been colouring these cuties up all week, and have just sat down today and made them up hehe).  ANOTHER adorable image from Elisabeth Bell called Pretty in Patches.  I am the type of person to buy something and use it straight away- so many of my friends buy things and have never used them... not me... I HAVE to use it...and straight away!  There is not a stamp in my craft room that hasn't been inked, nor a die that hasnt been run through my big shot!! Paper.. well thats a different thing- I buy it when its on sale thinking- I'll add it to my stash and use it for something LOL!! I must get value for my money :0)

Anyway onto the card.  Papers I have used are: Enchanted Fairy Trails by Imaginisce and Love Struck (pad) by We are Memory Keepers.  Flowers are WOC, butterfly is cut with a My Favorite Things die, Spellbinders Lacey circles and large circle die, some rhinestones from stash.  Ribbon slider, and ribbon. Butterfly charm from a cheap kids necklace from Target.  The sentiment is my brand newbie I got today from Penny Black called "Perfect Gift" (on the stamp it's name is Perfet Gift, but I think this is a spelling error) Its number is 4179J if you're interested.

These are the following challenges I would like to enter:
I have cased Shell's card over at Creative Inspirations for their case it challenge.

Elisabeth Bell's Happy Mail christmas card

Good morning! Here is another beautiful Belles n Whistles stamp, this one is called "Happy Mail".  Get in quick- they are closing down and currently have 35% off stock!! I have coloured her with copics.  All paper here (except the red cardstock) is from a Simple Stories pad called "Handmade Holidays" which I got from Michelles Card and craft store at Narangba.  The poinsettia I made ages ago using my Tim Holtz Tattered Florals die and some black pearls for the centre.  The rhinestone are from my stash.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:
