Saturated Canary Violet Vintage

Hello thanks for stopping by.  Tonight I have the beautiful Violet Vintage by the talented Saturated Canary.  Not usually colours I use, but drew inspiration from the Bo Bunny paper from their "Country Garden Collection" pad.  I think I like these two colours together!  Makes for a nice bright card.  I have used a magnolia swirl die and a La La Land heart banner die.  I bought some new flowers from WOC which I recieved the other day ... don't those red calla lillies look divine (sob sob- they dont have them in their shop anymore so I'm not sure if they are a deleted item??)... and those silk daisies?? I got them when they had their discounts, and I cant resist a bargain, so bought up big :-) They now have up to 50% off so go check them out! The acetate butterflies are made by me using a sizzix butterfly stamp set.

Simply stamp your butterfly on acetate using STAZ ON ink.  coat the ink with Dimesion magic and sprinkle with some fine glitter.  Let dry, colour with you copics, this rough side will be the side facing your card... cut out and fold up your wings and let you butterflies sparkle.  You can also use dragonflies or any insect really!

I have used a rhinestone ribbon slider, and dotted some liquid pearls with glitter dusted over it for spakle and shine.
I would like to enter this card into the following challenge:

Bearly Mine Challenge: Flowers Galore

Saturated Canary Fairy Wishes

Good afternoon.  Told you I'd been busy hehe!!! I hope you're not getting sick of seeing these divine images by Saturated Canary, because not only did I just do a spending spree at her didg shop, my LSS Arnolds have them in Rubber... so I couldn't resist LOL!!!!  This one is my new rubber stamp called Fairy Wishes.  I have been really trying hard to get my folds defined, and have a long way to go, but so far so good!  I also bought a new pad which is my total fav now... from Kaiser Craft. it is called "Lavendar Haze".   The ribbon is from my stash and I have twisted little pieces of green organza under cream lace.  The result is quiet effective and adds a new dimension.  Flat back pearls and flowers are WOC.

Saturated Canary Mermaid

Hello! my second card for today and it is an image by the awesome Krista Smith aka Saturated Canary.  This one is "Mermaid" and I have used a fav colour combo of aqua and purple.  I used the stippling dotting technique as shown by Alyce of Kit and Clowder in her video and think I will be using this technique more and more for my water type images.   I have used paper from Prima pad "Hello Pastel" and paper by Pink Paislee called "Clam Chowder".  The doily I made using a fiskars punch.  The flowers are WOC and I have scattered dew drops around.  I coloured white rose ribbon/lace using some glimmer mist.  The starfish embellishments are recycled from decorations from the wedding tables of my cousin which were going to get thrown out (Can't let that happen!!!!)

Copic colours I have used are:

Pink Gem Twin Baby card

Hello! I promise you all I have not been neglecting my craft... just my blog :-( Sorry!!! BUT I do have lots of cards that I have done which I aim to put up over the next couple of days. This is for a lady who wanted a twins card for a friend.  I coloured the image in neutral orange and purple as she wasn't sure of the sex of the babies. The image is a Pink Gem Design, called Twin Girls, and I am stoked with how it has come up.  I have been practicing my colouring and even have had a class with the ooober talented Alyce Keegan (Kit and Clowder) at my LSS Arnolds. She also has done You Tube videos of how to colour which are easy to follow.  Papers are from the pad Forever Friends called Kraft Notes.  The little congratulations banner is cut with a Whimsy die and the dotted outside is Whimsy stamp, the wording I think is KaiserCraft.  The flowers are from WOC and the Ribbon, lace and buckle slider are from my stash.

Copic Colours I used were:

Reindeer Rides by Inky Impressions for Southern Girls Challenge

Hello! this is my first card for some time, between work and life, I just cant keep up (my life is SOOO interesting NOT LOL!!!) Well it's challenge time again this fortnight over at the Southern Girls Challenge, and team Lou are using die cuts and/or punches.  This fortnight we were given some lovely digi's to work with from Inky impressions and I have chosen Reindeer Rides.  Now when I chose this image, I didn't think for a second the detail in this image.  It is probably one the the most intricate digi I have coloured up.  I am so happy with the result!  I used loads of copics, but needed to to get the wow factor this image deserved :-)   I have used a holly leaf punch I have had forever, the frostyville border die by Memory Box, and the christmas tree and fence die are from Magnolia.  I have added little red rhinestones to the snowflakes which add a special touch.  The DP is by Carta Bella called "December 25th".   Flowers are by WOC and the little red berries are from the $2 shop.  I have added liquid pearls and glitter to the snow effect.

So please show us you dies and punches in your creations over at The Southern Girls Challenge... cant wait to see what you can create!

Redonkadoodles soccer Football girl

Good afternoon, thanks for dropping by.  Its been a cold and rainy day here in Brisbane, and I have had the day off work... what better reason to lock myself in my craft room I say :-)  This is a card I did a couple of weeks ago for a lady who wanted a tomboy card for her grand daughter... a hard ask for me, who loves nothing less than splashing around loads of flowers and butterflies.  The main thing is that she was happy with what I made, and I rather surprised myself!!!! not a flower or butterfly in sight!

The image is from Redonkadoodles (the old Redonkulous Designs) called Soccer football girl.  I coloured her in the childs favourite colours- red and green. The black and white polka dot paper is velveteen to touch and came from a Kaiser Craft pad called Chapter One.  The green chequered paper is from a We Are Memory Keepers called Baby Mine.  I made the soccer ball with spellbinders Octagon and small circle nesties.  The banner stamp is a whimsy set.  the big brad, candle brad, ribbon and twine is from my ever growing stash.

Copic colours I used were:
YG 03, 63, 67
G 99
R 20, 22, 29, 85
E 000, 00, 04, 11, 21, 25, 29

Ratatouille by Saturated Canary

Hello, well last one for me tonight :-) Three in one night woohoo!!!! This image is Ratatouille by Saturated Canary. I have again used those reds, blues and yellows for this card.  Using paper from a Bo Bunny "serenity" pad.  I tried building on my confidence using red and have done a bigger area for this image.  I also used the E's in the copic range for my skin colouring rather than my usual YR's.  I am really happy with this card!  I haven't used and dies, I edged the image mat with a martha stewart edge punch called Doily Lace.  I have pleated the ribbon each side of the image and added loads of flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts. I added some red stamens and I used some adhesive rhinestones for added bling.

Copic colours I used were:
N 0, 1, 4
BG 0000, 01, 05
Y 11, 13, 18
R 20, 27, 39, 81, 85

Saturated Canary Canary Love Using Reds!!

Hi- thanks for stopping by again! As promised, another card for tonight.  This time it is the lovely "Canary Love" by Krista Smith of Saturated Canary.  I used red for this one to match beautiful paper from a pad I bought some time ago.  I had to buy red copics, as it is a colour I am not confident in  using... but I am happy with the result (I only coloured a small area using red to get used to it). The paper came from a Bo Bunny pad called "Serenity".  I just loved those colours in the paper I HAD to replicate them :-) I also got a new die (well it was quiet some months ago, but this is the first blog appearance lol!  It is a spellbinders die called "Gold Labels Four" and the detail is intricately beautiful.  My only criticism is that the labels four nestie (which I have also used) does not sit perfectly on the gold label die cut :-(  I have also used the spellbinders large swirl die.  Flowers are Wild Orchid Crafts (open roses (10mm and 15mm if I remember), sweetheart blossoms and hip rosebuds).  I have added some little red stamens I've had for years and a little bird cage charm from ebay.

Copic colours I used were:
E 000, 01, 04, 23, 40, 42, 57, 59
R 27, 29, 39
Y 11, 18
G 05

Saturated Canary "Princess Zella"

Good evening!!! Phew I've finally got some time to upload these cards I have had done for quiet some time! So sorry for my absence lately- things are just a whirlwind here... preparing for our baby (due 1st September) and also I have taken on a local monthly market called the handmade expo.  I do the Morayfield   one as it is close to home.  It doesn't make me millions, but keeps me out of trouble and pays for a copic or two :-)  Oh and it is a REALLY good reason to keep on crafting ('cause we all need a reason for that LOL!!!)
Anywho, enough gabbling, tonight I have another Princess Zella image by the awesome Krista Smith from Saturated Canary.  I'm sorry it seems all I am doing is her images lately, but I just love them!!!  Onto the card....
I have used papers "Jaunt" by Authentique and "Kraft Notes" from Forever Friends pad.  The dies are MFT "large leafy flourish" and the corner die is a Cheery Lynn "Lace Corner Deco die".  Flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts (wild rose, poppies, hip rosebud, gypsophila) and I have added some crystals that I stuck to some fishing line to the flower arrangement.  The organza ribbon is from my stash ad the happy birthday cake charm I got from ebay.

Copic colours used were:
E 000, 00
R 81, 85
RV 13
E 15, 18, 19
B 000, 93, 97

Thanks for dropping by, I'll try and get a couple more cards loaded later tonight.

Going dotty for Southern Girls Challenge with a Day for Daisies.

Good morning. Feels like forever that I haven't posted on here, but I do have a couple of cards to upload that I did for my recent markets.  This post is a quick one, and I apologise that I do not have the copic colours I used to colour this gorgeous image by A Day For Daisies.  Her name is happiness, and has loads of pleats to practice your colouring with.  I wasn't sure if she had long flowing hair or a veil, so I opted for the princess veil, but I'm sure you could colour it as hair :-)

And that's who our sponsor is this fortnight over at the Southern Girls Challenge and the challenge Lou and Trace have set for us is "Going Dotty"... so lots of dots and spots!!!!  I have used paper from a beautiful Forever Friends pad I picked up whilst in Canberra last month.  The flowers are Wild Orchid Crafts and the butterfly is one of my acetate butterflies.  I have a tutorial under my tutorial label to the right hand side to do these butterflies.

So pop on over to the Southern Girls Challenge and show us your spots and dots :-)

I would like to enter in to the Wild Orchid Challenge by using three or more flowers.

Take care and stay safe. XOX Tania
